Radioactivity and Wave-Particle Duality
Ionising radiation is invisible to our eyes. If seeing is believing, how do we then detect ionising radiation?
Discover it for yourself in the Radioactivity and Wave-Particle Duality workshop!
Workshop participants will work in teams to build cloud chambers capable of detecting ionising particles and thereby elucidating their trajectories. We explore how photoelectric effect hints at the particulate nature of electromagnetic radiation and how the wave nature of electrons can be demonstrated through diffraction experiments.
