Science Research Programme (SRP)

The Faculty of Science, in collaboration with the Gifted Education Branch (GEB) of the Ministry of Education, started the Science Enrichment Programme in 1988. The idea was first mooted by Dr Tony Tan Keng Yam, then Minister of Education, to enable very capable students who aspire to a higher level of challenge to undertake projects under the supervision of academics and scientists in a real research environment.

Subsequently, it evolved into the Science Research Programme (SRP), which is one of the premier research attachment programmes for 17 and 18 year-old students from junior colleges and Integrated Programme (IP) schools in Singapore.

Selected students can choose to enrol in either the H3 version of SRP (examinable) or the enrichment version (non-examinable).
