In times of crises, the spirit of volunteerism shines brightly.

Recovering migrant workers housed at Prince George’s Park Residences can now take “classes” on how to plan their finances, conduct digital remittances and avoid being scammed, thanks to Kent Ridge Hall students who produced a video series on financial literacy.

Through the videos, Dr Ng and his team hope that the workers will acquire useful knowledge and skills for the future. Dr Ng served as an advisor on content creation.

Dr Ng says, “Our residents have been active volunteers in the community and we worked with foreign workers in the past. By stepping forward now, we can contribute in another way to make the workers’ stay at NUS more meaningful.”
