Dr Peck formulates safety and health policies and oversees the implementation of these policies at the National University of Singapore (NUS). He established NUS’ Crisis and Emergency Management Framework and manages critical incidents in NUS, including the current COVID-19 outbreak.
He says, “It is a rare honour to be coordinating the response to COVID-19 outbreak in NUS. COVID-19 is unprecedented. It far exceeds our planning assumptions and it presents challenges which we have never experienced before.”
Dr Peck was also the inaugural and immediate past chairman of the Workplace Safety and Health Council’s Working Group on Safety & Health for Singapore’s higher education and research sector.
