Surprising Science!
The Surprising Science workshop will highlight the importance and universal role of science in our daily lives and even in art. It is also the workshops’ intent to make these hands-on scientific experiments fun for you. In this short journey of discovery, there will be trained student guides from NUS to accompany and assist you along the way. Do feel free to discuss your ideas with them. The experiments range from creating fluorescent artwork, making your own smartphone microscope to discovering the chemistry behind paper marbling and diapers. It is our hope that you will be surprised to learn how much science goes into these daily products that we often take for granted.
