Can I change the course(s) which I have registered for?

Please write in to scisap@nus.edu.sg to request for a change in course(s). All requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and subject to availability before the Global Science Summer Programme starts.

 

Can I drop a course I have registered for?

Yes, you may. Please notify us by writing to scisap@nus.edu.sg, clearly indicating the course(s) you wish to drop. Please note that you will be deemed as withdrawing from the programme if you do not enrol in any one course. Regardless of your reasons for cancellation (e.g. visa refusal), the following cancellation policy applies after registering for a course:

 

Cancellation Application Fee Course Fee Housing Miscellaneous Fee
By 4 July 2018 No refund 90% refund Full refund
By 11 July 2018 50% refund
On 12 July 2018 & onwards No refund No refund No refund

 

The Global Science Summer Programme is not liable for refunding other costs. Please wait until you receive our confirmation on the course(s) before making your travel arrangements.

 

How can I withdraw from the programme?

What do I do after I have applied for the programme online?

For international students, please submit the following documents in hard copy to the address stated below after successful application for the programme:

a. Passport biodata page
b. Official academic transcript
c. Record of courses taken in current semester / term
d. Student status letter from home university
e. Documentary proof of financial support in English
f. Copy of a valid TOEFL / IELTS test scores (for non-English medium universities only)

For NUS students, you will be informed of the subsequent application procedures via email.

 

I am an international student. Do I need to apply for student visa or tourist visa on my own?

Yes, you are required to apply for Entry Visa to Singapore if you are holding a passport from a visa-required country. A Letter of Introduction for Visa Application (LOI) will be sent to you via email after payment for the course(s) has been made to NUS. Please note that you are required to pay the application fee for the visa as imposed by the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority of Singapore (ICA). Is on-campus accommodation compulsory?

No, it is optional for both NUS and international students. International students are to look for your own off-campus housing if you choose not to stay on-campus.

Does the accommodation cost include meal plans?

Meal plans are not available during school vacation and summer programmes.
