Note: There are a total of four courses in Data Analytics and Forensic Science to choose from. Participants must enrol in a minimum of one course and up to a maximum of two courses over the two-week programme. Each course is worth two Modular Credits (MCs) and will be taken on a graded basis. For international students, please contact your home university for credit recognition of the course(s). For NUS students, the grade(s) will be reflected on your transcript and counted towards graduation requirements.



Data Analytics
Transforming How We Live and Work

Between the dawn of civilisation and 2003, the human race created five exabytes (5 x 1018 bytes) of information. Now we are creating that amount every two days. Discover how to unlock insights from Big Data using data science. Through Python Programming and Tableau, students will learn how to relate statistical analysis, computer programming and visualisation to deliver business value. Through data analytics, students can better derive insights from customer data, to develop effective customer retention strategies.



Forensic Science
Res Ipsa Loquitur (‘Let the Thing Speak for Itself’)

Forensic science has shaped the world of justice and developments in the field have introduced many vital crime-solving techniques over the past few decades. Students will delve into the fascinating world of forensic evidence from crime scene to court, and how objective evidence can convict the guilty as well as exonerate the innocent. The courses will touch on court case studies of crime and death investigation, and discuss the scientific value of past court cases.

International students will receive a Certificate of Participation upon completion of the course(s) and an NUS official transcript by post after the programme.
For NUS students, the grade(s) will be reflected on your transcript and counted towards graduation requirements.
